Jim Knauss | Upper School Math

Jim is joining the Veritas faculty this year teaching AP Calculus. Jim holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville, an MS in Flight Test Engineering from the United States Air Force Test Pilot School and an MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to teaching at Veritas, Jim served as a combat and test fighter pilot flying primarily A-10s, F-16s, and T-38s. He has over 3000 flight hours in over 25 aircraft types, 700 hours of which were in combat. Jim is married to Hannah and they have two sons James IV (9, 3rd Grade at Veritas) and Asher (4). He enjoys nerding out in theology and physics and also running, swimming, and fishing with his boys. Jim and his family are members at Heritage Bible Church in Greer.
