Mission Statement

for Athletics

Our mission for athletics aligns with our overall telos at Veritas: to be a community of students and families growing in the love of God as courageous learners, thoughtful communicators, and gracious servants.

• We believe sports are an opportunity to practice courage over and over as we participate in doing hard things together.

• We believe sports are an opportunity to teach and learn the importance of thoughtful communication with honesty, gentleness, and respect.

• We believe sports are an opportunity to serve the Lord and others with gracious hearts as we seek to uplift teammates and support our coaches.

Ultimately, we believe sports are a gift from God given to help us grow in wholeness as human beings and in turn, our prayer is to be a sports community that grows in our love for a Father who gives us such good gifts.
