Mission for Extracurricular Activities

Our mission for extracurricular activities aligns with our overall telos at Veritas: to be a community of students and families growing in the love of God as courageous learners, thoughtful communicators, and gracious servants.

• We believe extracurricular activities are wonderful opportunities to grow our love for God as we seek to glorify Him by exercising the unique gifts He has given us.

• We believe extracurricular activities are wonderful opportunities to learn about the gifts the Lord has given us, how we can use our gifts for his glory, and as we master our gifts, how we can gain a heart of humility.

• We believe extracurricular activities are wonderful opportunities to teach and learn the importance of communicating excellently with honesty, gentleness, and respect. This includes learning what it means to be a good teammate, fellow actor or actress, or learning to accept whatever position we are assigned.

• We believe extracurricular activities are wonderful opportunities to serve the Lord and others. When we are given the opportunity to compete, perform, cheer or whatever it may be, we want to do so with a joyful heart that exemplifies love for the Lord while encouraging, exciting, and affecting others around us.
