Jonathan was an eye surgeon for 30 years in the upstate. He earned his BA degree in biology and English from Presbyterian College and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Jonathan enjoys golf, pickleball, and watching football. He and his wife, Joy, have an adult son and daughter, and two grandsons. They attend Redeemer PCA.
